This article presents the results of a study conducted to investigate the relationship between certain subjective and objective risk factors and the development of peri-implant diseases. A retrospective analysis was performed on a cohort of patients using implant-supported prostheses between 2015 and 2024. In total, 120 patients were included in the study. The multifactorial research model employed and its detailed statistical analysis examined the presence of several pathogenetically significant factors associated with perimucositis and peri-implantitis, i.e., factors contributing to both early and relatively later complications. These included patients under 55 years of age, smokers, individuals with a history of periodontitis, and implants positioned in the anterior region of the mandible. The study demonstrated that the likelihood of inflammatory-destructive complications is higher in smokers, individuals over 55 years old, patients with inadequate interproximal hygiene, those with implant-supported prostheses, and when implants are located in the frontal region of the mandible.
