The article presents a study conducted for the purpose of investigating the effectiveness of BLynch and Hayman sutures in atonic uterine bleeding and their effect on reproductive outcomes. The study included 103 patients with postpartum hemorrhage associated with uterine atony: the B-Lynch suture was 75 applied in 38 patients and the Hayman suture in 65 patients. Early postoperative complications and long-term reproductive outcomes were evaluated. Complications were observed more frequently in the B-Lynch group. The frequency of Asherman syndrome was 7.9% in the B-Lynch group and 0% in the Hayman group (p = 0.048). Secondary infertility was likewise higher in the B-Lynch group (13.2% versus 1.5%, p = 0.025). The duration of the operation was significantly longer in the B-Lynch group (82.4 ± 16.4 min versus 64.7 ± 14.3 min, p<0.001). The results demonstrated that the B-Lynch technique is less favorable in terms of the endometrium and reproductive function. The outcome of the Hayman technique is satisfactory, and this technique may create more favorable conditions for the preservation of fertility.Downloads
