The article presents a description of the structure of comorbid conditions in older adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, as well as an analysis of the distribution of quality-of-life indicators. A retrospective study was conducted based on the analysis of 361 medical records of patients from a gerontological center with an established diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Quality of life was assessed using the SF-36 questionnaire. It was shown that in older adults, type 2 diabetes mellitus does not occur in isolation and is accompanied by multiple comorbid conditions. An increase in the number of comorbidities with advancing age was observed, accompanied by a decline in quality-of-life indicators. Sex-stratified analysis revealed similar patterns in the prevalence of most comorbid conditions among men and women.
