Abstract

The article presents a study aimed at evaluating the susceptibility of Klebsiella pneumoniae to the external quality assessment (EQA) panel and determining the stability of antimicrobial agents against K. pneumoniae strains. A total of 40 K. pneumoniae strains and one Escherichia coli strain (NCTC 12241) were analyzed for their stability to antimicrobial agents. The susceptibility and stability of the strains were assessed using the dilution method in series with the BD-Phoenix bacteriological analyzer. Each bacterial strain was analyzed before lyophilization and at 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after storage, as well as 3 and 6 months post-lyophilization. The analysis of microorganism susceptibility and stability showed that the highest stability was observed against ampicillin (AMP-10), piperacillin-tazobactam, and gentamicin. However, resistance analysis of K. pneumoniae strains revealed high resistance to 8 antimicrobial agents.of the study is to study the stability of the properties of K. pneumoniae - for the external quality assessment panel.
