This article presents information on the significance of ultrasound Dopplerography in the early diagnosis of diabetic foot syndrome in patients with diabetes mellitus. The study was conducted on 35 patients with diabetic angiopathy, including 15 men and 20 women. The patients were categorized based on the type of diabetes (insulin-dependent and insulin-independent) and the duration of the disease (≤1 year, 1–5 years, 6–10 years, and >10 years). In these groups, the stages of circulatory failure were monitored. The findings indicate that symptoms worsen as circulatory failure progresses. In insulin-dependent patients, circulatory disorders are more severe, and vascular lesions progress more rapidly. Ultrasound Dopplerography revealed arterial occlusion and vascular wall thickening in insulin-dependent patients. Additionally, the severity of circulatory disorders increases with the duration of the disease. Treatment with urokinase and Achillea millefolium extract was found to improve blood flow and reduce vasoconstriction. The results emphasize the importance of Doppler ultrasound and patient anamnesis in the early diagnosis of lower extremity circulatory disorders in diabetes.
