The main group consisted of 150 (50%) patients with congenital heart defects: ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus and combined defects (a combination of two or all three heart defects). The control group included 150 (50%) patients with various cardiological complaints, but without CHD. Based on the stated goal, in the course of the study, we identified anemnestic characteristics, social characteristics and the structure of complaints of patients with congenital heart defects. When studying the medical and social characteristics of CHD, it was found that among patients with CHD, women (52%) had a higher incidence than men (48%). According on the results of the study, more attention should be paid to non-specific complaints of girls (such as shortness of breath, palpitations) for timely diagnosis of congenital heart disease, which will improve the quality of life of women in older age periods, reduce the percentage of late, delayed diagnosis and operations in women.
