Abstract

The studies carried out to achieve the set goal in 2020, based on developed clinical and laboratory criteria, examined 38 patients from among law enforcement officers, aged from 40 to 65 years (average age 47.98±5.3) who had suffered ischemic stroke (IS). Pentoxifylline was used in complex rehabilitation treatment of patients. This drug was prescribed for the treatment of patients at a dose of 600 mg 2 times a day, morning and evening. Due to the fact that the ophthalmic artery is directly a continuation of the internal carotid artery, to study the state of microcirculation of the vascular bed in the brain, the results of biomicroscopy of the microvasculature of the conjunctiva of the eye were assessed. When the drug was prescribed to the patients’ condition, by the end of the first week there was a regression of subjective disorders, in particular: the general condition stabilized (76.31±6.9%), there was a decrease in complaints of headache (42.11±8.0%), heaviness in the head (71.05±7.4%), decreased emotional lability (65.79±6.8%), dizziness (63.16±7.8%), noise in the head (52.63±8.1%), sleep improved (42.11±8.1%), blood pressure stabilized (39.47±7.9%). In the third week of drug use, a decrease in the severity of neurological symptoms was noted.
