Abstract

The article presents information about studies conducted to examine the characteristics of clinical symptoms of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men with somatic pathology. For this purpose, the study included 117 patients aged 25 to 65 years who were diagnosed with ED between 2015 and 2020. The patients were divided into two groups: Group I - patients with venous ED (75 men) and Group II - patients with mixed venous-arterial ED (42 individuals). The study showed a connection between differences in the characteristics of ED and the severity of hemodynamic disorders. In the group of patients with venous ED, libido was preserved in 45 patients (60.0±5.7%); in the second group with mixed vascular ED, this figure was 1.48 times lower at 40.5±7.6% (17 patients). In Group I, libido was weakened in 21 patients (28.0±5.2%); in Group II, it was recorded in 16 patients (38.1±7.5%). Lack of sexual desire was found in 9 people in each group. For the first group, this was 12.0±3.8%; for the second group, it was 21.4±6.2%, which means it was 7.8% higher in the second group. Severe forms of erectile dysfunction predominated in the patients; a decrease or complete disappearance of erections during intercourse was observed in 61.3±5.6% of patients in Group I and in 42.9±7.6% of patients in Group II. A complete absence of erection was recorded only in patients of Group II (8 individuals, 19.0±6.1%). Only 17 patients in Group I (22.7±4.9%) and 12 patients in Group II (28.6±7.0%) had weak erections due to introjection.
