Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the clinical signs and diagnostic features of reproductive dysfunction in women with adenomyosis, and to study the differences and similarities of those with other benign pathologies of the uterus with impaired reproductive function. For this purpose, the study involved 250 women who were divided into 3 groups: group 1 – women with adenomyosis and reproductive disorders (35 women), group 2 – women with other benign uterine pathologies (uterine fibroids, endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial polyps) and reproductive dysfunction – (165 women), group 3 – control group (50 practically healthy women)
The study results showed the women with adenomyosis and reproductive disorders in late reproductive age were more prone to hypertension and neurocirculatory dystonia and they have menstrual dysmenorrhea, high levels of estradiol in the blood and activation of the blood clotting system compare to other group results. Changes in the hemodynamic parameters of the uterine artery were observed depending on the localization of chronic inflammation and pathological process in the endometrium. In the group with adenomyosis prolonged infertility and more miscarriages predominated compare to other groups.
Thus, the assessment of clinical symptoms, ultrasound images, and timely diagnosis of the disease in patients with adenomyosis and reproductive dysfunction contributes to the correct direction of treatment and the realization of reproductive desire.
