The article provides information about the etiological factors, leading to the formation of secondary sagittal anomalies in children. For this purpose, 60 children aged 4 to 13 were examined. Apart from clinical surveys patients carried out anthropometric, radiological and photometric research methods. All 60 patients with sagittal anomalies were divided into 2 groups according to the age: first group of 30 patient from 4 to 6 years old and second group of 30 patients from 6 to 13 years old. From the examined children of the first group were detected childhood diseases (rickets), early loss of primary molars, caries, bad habits of sucking fingers, lips, diseases of the upper respiratory tract, etc. Whereas in the second group anomalies in the position of separately teeth, periodontal disease, anomalies of the dentition were revealed. All these indicators indicate the early formation of secondary sagittal anomalies, which is shown in the base of examined patients.
Therefore, timely identification and elimination of the causes of disocclusion contributes to the prevention of this malocclusion, its successful treatment and the achievement of sustainable results.
