Abstract

The article presents a study aimed at the comparative evaluation of ultrasonography (US) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with shoulder impingement syndrome. The findings obtained from 98 patients included in the study demonstrated that, although ultrasonography is useful in the initial assessment, magnetic resonance imaging offers superior diagnostic capabilities for more accurately determining the extent of pathological changes, concomitant tendon injuries, and the stage of the pathological process. The article also presents the ultrasonographic and MRI findings in a 57-year-old male patient with shoulder impingement syndrome.
