Abstract

The article presents a research study conducted to investigate the benefits of autologous fat transplantation at the end of liposuction surgery as a preventive measure to reduce the number of soft tissue defects that remain postoperatively. The study was conducted on 70 patients who were divided into two groups. The first group (control group), consisting of 40 patients, underwent traditional liposuction. In the second group, which included 30 patients, at the conclusion of the liposuction procedure, purified autologous fat cells obtained from the patient through centrifugation were evenly distributed across the surgical site to prevent irregularities in the skin and subcutaneous layers. Patients were monitored for one year, and the results were evaluated using physician assessments, patient questionnaires, ultrasound examinations, and histological analysis. The outcomes in patients who received autologous fat grafting at the surgical site were satisfactory. Irregularities, asymmetries, and subcutaneous fibrosis were reduced, while the skin's retraction capability improved. Additionally, skin discoloration decreased, and patients expressed satisfaction with the surgical outcomes.
