Abstract

The article provides information about the relationship between the angle of the second genu of the facial nerve canal and the meso- and brachiocephalic type of the skull in CT images. 28 patients (11 women, 17 men) tomogram archive results were studied (were selected patients without pathologies of the skull, temporal bone). In all tomograms measured the angle of the second genu of the facial canal, and craniometric measurements and were studied the relationship between this angle and the shape of the head. It was found that in brachiocephalic, the angle of the second knee of the facial canal ranges from 129,800 to 162,900 on the right, from 135,000 to 159,300 on the left, and in mesocephalic this figure is 128,700-147,000 on the right; on the left is 138,300-151,000.
