The rational use of antibiotics is one of the principal factors in preventing antimicrobial resistance. This article presents a study conducted for the purpose of investigating the knowledge, attitudes, and level of awareness regarding the practice of using these preparations among pharmacists working in the pharmacies of the city of Tashkent. A cross-sectional questionnaire-based study was carried out by means of a structured questionnaire survey. It was determined that pharmacists generally possess knowledge of the basic principles of antibiotic use; however, certain deficiencies in their knowledge in this area and a lack of correspondence with their practical activity were also identified. The results obtained indicate that there is a need to implement a targeted training program in order to enhance pharmacists' knowledge of the rules for the rational use of antibiotics.Downloads
