The article presents a study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of telemedicine in monitoring glucose metabolism and blood pressure parameters in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and arterial hypertension (AH) observed in an outpatient setting. The study included 165 patients divided to three groups: patients receiving conventional treatment (group 1), trained patients not using telemedicine (group 2a), and trained patients monitored via telemedicine (group 2b). HbA1c, fasting and postprandial glucose levels, blood pressure parameters, as well as liver and kidney function markers were evaluated. Patients monitored through telemedicine demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in HbA1c, glucose levels, and blood pressure values (p<0.01). Liver and renal function indicators remained within normal ranges across all groups (p>0.05). The findings indicate that telemedicine is an effective and safe approach for improving metabolic and hemodynamic control in patients with T2DM and AH.
