This article presents the findings of a study aimed at exploring the effectiveness of various approaches and methods in the treatment of trophic ulcers with the use of physical therapies. The study involved 120 patients with venous-related trophic ulcers, consisting of 85 women (70.8%) and 35 men (29.2%). All patients had varicose veins and venous insufficiency corresponding to stage 6 (C6) according to the CEAP classification. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, each consisting of 60 individuals. The first group received conventional therapy, which included local treatment, elastic compression of the lower extremities, and pharmacotherapy. The second group received conventional therapy in addition to photodynamic therapy (PDT). The clinical results of the study revealed that the addition of PDT to the treatment regimen for venous trophic ulcers provides significant benefits. This treatment led to faster ulcer cleansing, increased healing rates, and longer-lasting therapeutic outcomes.
