Abstract

The results of microbiological analysis of vaginal smear samples in groups of patients with infectious complications of the postpartum period are presented. 150 women who gave birth in 2017-2019 were included in the study. in the department of obstetrics and gynecology of the Training Surgical Clinic of the Azerbaijan Medical University, including 100 people with the indicated complications and 50 people with the physiological course of the postpartum period.

Microbiological analysis of biological materials obtained from healthy patients of the control group showed that S. aureus dominated only in 3 of them, which amounted to 6.0±3.36% of the total number of the studied individuals. The presence of one of the dominant species of the genus Peptostreptococcus was observed in 39 vaginal smears obtained from patients of the main group with infectious complications, which accounted for 39.0±4.88%. Low titers of microorganisms obtained by biopsy were more common in women in the study and control groups.

In the main group of women with postpartum inflammatory process, the nature of endometrial infection with Mycoplasma Hominis (titer ˃104) - 38.0±4.85%, Ureaplasma urealiticum (titer> 104) in the main group and in the control group - 73.0±4.44 %, was determined by a significant increase in frequencies - 2.0±1.98% and 6.0±3.36%, respectively (p<0.05).

Thus, according to the results of microbiological studies, it has been established that long-term dysbiotic states in the reproductive organs can be considered one of the main risk factors for the onset and development of postpartum inflammatory changes against the background of peristalsis of pathogenic bacteria.
