The article provides information about a study conducted to investigate the sensitivity of intraoperative pathohistological examination during hysterectomy in patients with endometrial hyperplasia and the incidence of uterine cancer. The study was conducted on 189 patients who underwent surgery with the diagnosis of endometrial hyperplasia at the Oncology Clinic of Azerbaijan Medical University between 2017 and 2024. Among these patients, final pathohistological examination revealed endometrial carcinoma in 16 (8.4%) cases. Intraoperative pathohistological examination was performed on 46 (24.3%) patients, detecting endometrial cancer in 6 (54.5%) cases. However, final pathohistological analysis of the intraoperative examination group identified endometrial carcinoma in 11 (5.7%) patients. The sensitivity of emergency histopathological examination in detecting synchronous carcinoma in patients with endometrial hyperplasia was 54.4%, specificity was 97.2%, and positive and negative predictive values were 87.5%.
