The article presents information on a comparative analysis of the functional state of the kidneys in 65 patients with local kidney cancer after standard open or laparoscopic kidney resection (I group – 40 man) and after retroperitoneoscopic resection with preoperative selective embolization (II group – 25 man). The functional state of the kidneys was examined in all patients at 1, 6 and 12 months after surgery by determination of the concentration of creatinine and urea in the blood serum, the measurement of the glomerular filtration rate, creatinine clearance, and urinary albumin excretion. The results of the study showed the high efficiency of retroperitoneoscopic resection with preoperative selective embolization and fluorescent visualization of vessels in local kidney tumors, which allows us to recommend the method for widespread use.
