Abstract

The article presents an overview of the latest literature data on the role of ultrasound in the diagnosis of pulmonary pathologies in neonatal age. Lung ultrasound is an affordable, fast and non-radiative diagnostic method. This method can be used without restrictions on quantity. It is possible to follow the disease's progress and the treatment response by using ultrasound. The presented article describes the interpretation of lung ultrasound findings. Both strengths and limitations of the method are highlighted.
