The aim of the study was to study the level neurospecific enolase (NSE) in blood serum in patients with autoimmune thyroiditis. We examined the venous blood of 170 patients with autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT), 64 men and 106 women, aged 18 to 64 years. The control group consisted of 65 people without thyroid pathologies and other autoimmune diseases at the age from 20 to 65 years, of which 26 were men and 39 were women. All patients with hypothyroidism were divided into two groups: group 1 - patients with subclinical form of AIT in a state of hypothyroidism - 96 people and group 2 - patients with AIT with overt form of hypothyroidism - 74 people. The results of the study showed that AIT is characterized by a significant increase in NSE concentrations with an increase in the severity of neurological complaints in patients, as well as with an increase in the duration of the disease and an increase in its clinical manifestations.
