The aim of this study was to evaluate the significance of PlGF (рlacental growth factor) in the genesis of placental insufficiency in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. In 106 pregnant women with hypertensive disorders (basic group I), 20 healthy pregnant women at the same gestational period (control group) and 105 pregnant with risk factors for preeclampsia at 20- 24 weeks gestation (basic group II) was studied PlGF level. Anamnesis was collected from all pregnant women, ultrasound and dopplerometry examination of the fetus was performed, blood PlGF level was measured. Statistical data processing was performed using Statistica 6.0 and Microsoft Excel integrated system, non-parametric White-test (W-test), Pearson χ² test. It is established that the hypertensive disorders of pregnancy were associated with decreased PlGF 4 times as compared to healthy pregnant. Severity of hypertensive disorders was inversely proportional to the level of PlGF in blood in pregnant women. In hypertensive disorders accompanied by placental insufficiency and intrauterine growth retardation concentration of PlGF was minimal. Prognostic significance level PlGF in blood for pre-eclampsia and intrauterine growth retardation is high and amounts to 87.1%, for gestational hypertension – 67.7%.
